History of the federation development.

From the first steps of esports in the country to the international achievements of our players, the history of TMESF reflects not only the rapid growth of the industry, but also the contribution of Turkmenistan to the global culture of electronic games. Our achievements and plans are the result of dedicated people passionate about technology and sport, and who believe in the limitless possibilities of esports. August 2018

Registration

By order of the Minister of Justice of Turkmenistan dated July 16, 2018, "Türkmenistanyň milli elektron sport federasiýasy" was registered as a public organization responsible for the development and promotion of electronic sports in Turkmenistan (certificate No. 00052).

August 2019

NOC of Turkmenistan

In August 2018, the federation received recognition from the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan. According to the Law of Turkmenistan "On Physical Culture and Sports," recognition by the National Olympic Committee is one of the requirements for industry accreditation, granting the federation authority to develop esports within the country.

2019

WESG

The National Federation of Electronic Sports of Turkmenistan signed a cooperation agreement with Alisports granting the exclusive right to hold WESG qualifying stages in Turkmenistan.

May 2020

AESF recognition

Since 2020, the National Federation of Electronic Sports of Turkmenistan has represented the interests of Turkmenistan as a full member of the Asian Esports Federation (AESF), recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia.

June 2020

GEF recognition

Since June 2020, the National Federation of Electronic Sports of Turkmenistan has been a member of the Global Esports Federation, an international organization that unites esports bodies and advocates for esports to be included among Olympic disciplines.

November 2020

IESF recognition

Since November 2020, the National Federation of Electronic Sports of Turkmenistan has been a member of the International Esports Federation, making it possible to hold international tournaments and national qualifiers under the IESF umbrella and to participate in decisions on important esports issues.

November 2022

State Sports Committee recognition

By order No. 36-Ö dated November 7, 2022, issued by the Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of Turkmenistan, esports was included in the register of sports and received official recognition in Turkmenistan. "Türkmenistanyň milli elektron sport federasiýasy" received the status of the officially accredited sports federation for esports. Under the legislation of Turkmenistan on physical culture and sports, accreditation confirms the authority to develop the sport in the country.

November 2023

Phygital Games

In November 2023, the National Federation of Electronic Sports of Turkmenistan signed a memorandum and a mutual cooperation agreement in the field of phygital games development in Turkmenistan.
